Sansi LED: Sustainable LED Lighting and Integrated LED Display

After the main road of Wenyi West Road, Sansi provided nearly 10,000 LED tunnel lights, ultra-energy saving variable message signs and several traffic display products and system solution for the underground tunnel expressway system of Wenyi West Road Extension Project (Phase I) in Hangzhou.

Wen Yi West Road west extension project

It runs through the east-west artery of Hangzhou

The western extension project of Wen Yi West Road (Phase I) is located in Yuhang District, Hangzhou City, and has been completed and put into trial operation in June 2024. The main project of phase II is scheduled to be completed in July 2026.

After the comprehensive completion of the west extension project, it will run through the east and west of Hangzhou city, becoming an important transportation artery connecting Lin an and Qingshan Lake Science and Technology City, Yuhang, an important new center of Hangzhou city, the western commercial and residential area, the cultural and educational area, the core area of the main city and the eastern new district.

For this key project, Shanghai Sansi arranged the lighting design reasonably according to the field survey and the actual requirements of the measurement project. According to the topographic requirements of the tunnel, basic lighting was set up and arranged symmetrically on both sides of the tunnel. According to the width of the tunnel, appropriate lighting area was formulated.

The entrance section, transition section and exit section are equipped with corresponding enhanced lighting. The design adopts mixed light distribution of LED lamps with different wattage, which is arranged symmetrically on both sides.

Among them, the basic lighting of the whole line adopts the smart new scheme independently developed by Sansi, forming a one-stop solution covering high-quality lamps, customized cables and integrated bridge frames, realizing modular installation technology, greatly reducing the difficulty of construction work, and improving the overall aesthetic degree at the same time.

Tunnel lighting quality upgrade

The integrated lighting system scheme customized by Sansi for the project aims to improve the safety of tunnel driving, achieve the purpose of energy saving and carbon reduction, cost reduction and efficiency improvement, and strive to set a new benchmark for the industry.

Integrated design of lamps, trusses and cables: The lighting equipment and cables are hidden in the truss structure, so that the overall lighting lamps are arranged in a linear way, forming a continuous linear light band induction lighting system. It can more clearly indicate the direction of the tunnel and ensure driving safety.

The LED continuous light strip lighting design runs through the tunnel like light ribbons, which makes the road illumination more uniform and the space more transparent; due to the continuous light emission mode, it will not cause the driver to feel particles, flashes or zebra crossings and other bad visual effects, and the sensory experience is very comfortable.

The "high-efficiency LED tunnel light" located in the open section of the tunnel is based on unique panel light emission technology and innovative structural design, which greatly improves the LED tunnel light emission efficiency, heat dissipation performance, safety and reliability and service life. At the same time, Sansi provides plug-in quick mounting bus for this project, which improves the convenience of installation and maintenance.

Based on a robust hardware foundation, the smart lighting platform integrates automated management and combines external light environment monitoring in tunnels to achieve precise lighting control, reducing visual effects and ensuring travel safety. At the same time, Sansi offers a range of energy-saving smart transportation products developed in-house, ensuring orderly traffic flow that meets the long-term needs of urban sustainable development.

After the completion of the western extension project of Wen Yi West Road, it will better play the effect of traffic corridor and effectively promote the construction of Hangzhou Technology Innovation Corridor, which is of great significance to improve the overall efficiency of Hangzhous transportation network.
