I. Demonstration First: Cross-regional Collaborative "Smart Pole" Practice
As a key project in the Yangtze River Delta Ecological and Green Integration Development Demonstration Zone, the first batch of smart street lights equipped with functions such as environmental monitoring, emergency broadcasting, and traffic guidance have recently been deployed in the border areas of Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang. This "multi-pole integration" design effectively addresses the issues of repeated construction and resource fragmentation of traditional road facilities, becoming a landmark project for the integration of regional public services.
II. Functional Integration: From Lighting Carrier to Urban Sensing Terminal
Composite Service Capability
While retaining basic lighting functions, the lamp posts are integrated with equipment such as air quality monitors and noise sensors to collect environmental data in real-time. Some nodes are also equipped with information display screens, providing convenient services for citizens such as bus arrival times and weather warnings.
Emergency Collaboration Network
By connecting to the unified management platform in the demonstration zone, the street lights can automatically switch to emergency lighting mode in case of emergencies, simultaneously activating the broadcasting system to issue evacuation guides, forming a rapid response mechanism across administrative regions.
Green Operation and Maintenance Mode
Modular design facilitates functional expansion, and some equipment utilizes complementary solar power supply, reducing maintenance costs over the entire lifecycle.
III. Standard Co-construction: Exploring the "Experimental Field" for Institutional Innovation
This project achieves mutual recognition of technical standards among the three regions for the first time:
- Unifying equipment communication protocols to ensure data interoperability across provinces.
- Establishing a joint operation and maintenance mechanism to break down administrative barriers.
- Formulating shared interface specifications to reserve access space for future equipment such as 5G micro-base stations.
IV. Future Outlook: From Hardware Connection to Service Integration
With the advancement of smart city construction, smart street lights will gradually incorporate innovative functions such as electric vehicle charging and drone parking pads. This "growable urban furniture" is becoming the physical carrier of institutional innovation and digital transformation in the demonstration zone, providing a reference sample for cross-regional smart city construction nationwide.
