In todays commercial display scenarios, human-screen interaction has become a basic requirement. Taking the subway track area products with high air humidity and abundant dust particles (rich in iron dust and dirt) as an example, traditional small-pitch products are prone to damage from bumps or vibrations, leading to the detachment and failure of light beads, significantly impacting both product lifespan and user experience.
For example, in response to this common pain point, the GOB commercial display customized by SANSI was installed on the side walls of the platform tracks on both sides of the up and down tracks at all 21 stations along the south station of Beijing Metro Line 17. So what is GOB? What are its practical advantages in subway stations?

Get to know GOB
GOB (Glue On Board) as a module-level protection technology, transforms the originally granular pixel points on the surface of the light board into an overall flat light board through adhesive treatment applied to the products module surface. This transition from point light sources to surface light sources results in more uniform LED lighting effects and higher product flatness. The display quality, viewing angle, and contrast ratio are also significantly improved. It is reported that GOB products can also reduce glare and alleviate eye fatigue.

GOB is used in harsh environments: smooth picture quality, high definition experience, reliable use
Taking the Beijing Metro Line 17 project as an example, there is no direct contact between the back of the LED panel and the installation wall, and the unit box adopts a back-sealed box structure. The front module uses GOB surface glue treatment, which can prevent the short-term instantaneous water ingress on the back and front caused by accidents.
At the same time, for this corrosive and humid indoor rail area environment, GOB display solves the common problems of waterproofing and collision prevention in conventional non-gumming modules, and easy lamp dropping when touched. It also effectively prevents dust pollution from invading the subway site, and avoids the phenomenon of dead lamps caused by dust adsorption on the lamp beads.
In general, it has good adaptability under harsh working conditions. (See the table below)
GOB module | Traditional non-gumming module | |
Waterproof and dustproof grade | ≥IP65 truly dustproof and waterproof | × |
Seismic performance | good | range |
antioxidant | good | range |
humidity resistance | It can prevent moisture in places with temperature difference and pressure | There is a potential risk of dead lamp after the light bulb and PCB absorb moisture |
Installation/moving | It will not cause the module or box edge light damage, and will not appear to fall off | It is easy to cause the module and box lights to break or fall off |
Look healthy | Watch for a long time without eye strain, Protect your eyesight | Long-term watching glare and fatigue can easily form visual fatigue, which may lead to eye diseases |
angle of view | The horizontal and vertical directions always maintain a wide Angle of view | The viewing Angle is affected by high temperature |
life length | Performance is almost unaffected by environmental factors, Approaching theoretical service life | Affected by environmental factors, the service life is not as expected; As a result, PCB performance is affected by billions of copper ions, leading to microshort circuits |
Surface cleaning | Use it for a long time to clean the surface | After a period of time, dust and white appear in the concave area of the mask surface, which cannot be cleaned |
With the maturity of GOB technology, it continues the application advantages of COB and SMD products, improves the overall competitiveness of indoor micro-pitch commercial display, and makes it have a place in the micro-pitch commercial display market.
