SANSI Helps to Light Up the Deepest Immersed Tube in the WorldBack
On July 7th, 2017, with the world-renowned Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the submarine tunnel under it was also successfully completed and open to traffic that day. The long-distance journey from Hong Kong to Zhuhai and Macau will be shortened from 3.5 hours to half an hour. In order to make way for the Pearl River Estuary, which is the most crowded waterway in the world, the 6.7 kilometer-long undersea tunnel is used in the main project of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. This is the first offshore immersed tube in China, which has the deepest buried depth and the highest comprehensive technical difficulty in the world today. Two artificial islands with an area of 100,000 square meters assume the function of bridge-tunnel conversion, greatly facilitating the travel.
As one of the construction units of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Sansi built the whole lighting system for this undersea tunnel. According to the unique topographical requirements of this undersea tunnel, Sansi set up basic lighting equipment symmetrically on both sides of the tunnel according to the width of the tunnel, and installed corresponding enhanced lighting at the entrance section, transition section, and exit section. The LED lighting fixtures with different wattage are used for mixed light distributions.
Back to the lighting fixture itself, the Sansi reflective tunnel light C0810-XC is an efficient and energy-saving luminaire combined with SANSI patented reflective LED technology. With excellent lighting uniformity, high efficiency and long lifetime, it could deliver superior lighting quality and stability. Reflective technology makes the light in the tunnel uniform and evenly distributed without glare. On the other side, the heat dissipation performance is directly related to the energy-saving effect and lifespan of the LED lamp. Compared with aluminium base board, SANSI ceramic base board has more advantages in heat dissipation. LED chips are directly attached to the ceramic, heat is directly dissipated through the air. The overall heat dissipation effect of the light is much higher than that of the traditional PCB LED tunnel lights, which results in a longer lifespan of the lights.
Besides high light quality and heat dissipation performance, the energy-saving effect is also one of the concerns of consumers when it comes to tunnel lighting. The dimming control system independently developed by Sansi can realize dimming functions such as mode dimming, time dimming and manual dimming in different areas. It also has DALI dimming mode, which can realize 0, 10-100% dimming in time-sharing and segment according to the tunnel lighting environment and traffic conditions, greatly reducing energy waste while creating an ideal lighting environment.
